Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Enquiries and quote requests. Your name, phone number, email address (optional), state, farm type and your message. For a quote we also collect your planned capacity, timeline and the service you asked about.
• Accounts. If you create an account: your name, email address and password. We store your password only in a scrambled, one-way form (a “hash”), never the password itself. Each time you sign in we keep a hashed form of your IP address and your browser's user-agent string (the browser and device type it reports). We email you to verify your address.
• Blog comments and the newsletter. See sections 6 and 7.
• Analytics. When you browse the site, Google Analytics 4 records how it is used, with the help of cookies. See section 4.
• Technical logs. Like most websites, our servers keep routine logs of the requests they receive (IP address, the page requested, the time and the browser's user-agent string) to keep the site working and secure, including to limit abuse.

2. How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and provide the services you ask about.
• To run your account: sign you in, keep it secure and contact you about it.
• To publish comments once a moderator approves them, and to send the newsletter only if you confirmed your subscription.
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
• To protect the site against spam and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles: Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off in our analytics.

3. Sharing and service providers

We share personal information only as needed for the purposes above:

• Kurela Group. Enquiries are passed to KloudOps, the customer-relationship (CRM) system the Kurela Group uses, so our team can follow up. We may also share your details with other Kurela Group companies where that is needed to fulfil your request.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosts the website, its database and image storage, and delivers our emails.
• Google provides Google Analytics (section 4).

These providers handle the information on our behalf and are bound to protect it. Some, such as Google, may process it outside India.

4. Cookies and analytics

Sign-in cookie. If you sign in, we set one essential cookie, kps_session, that keeps you signed in. It is not used for tracking. It lasts 7 days, can be extended while you use the site, never lasts more than 30 days from when you signed in, and is deleted when you sign out.

Analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics 4, a Google service, to see how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and how people find us. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_GPW8VRLJ7H, which hold a randomly generated identifier so that visits from the same browser can be counted together. They last up to two years after your last visit.

Google receives the pages you view, how you reached the site, your device and browser type, your approximate location (worked out from your IP address) and that identifier. This information is pseudonymous: it does not include your name or contact details, but the identifier can recognise a returning browser. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Your choice. You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking analytics cookies does not stop the site from working.

5. Data retention & security

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or to meet legal obligations. We apply reasonable safeguards: passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, and the IP addresses recorded with accounts, comments and newsletter sign-ups are stored only in hashed form. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Blog comments

When you post a comment we store the name you give, your email address, the comment text, a one-way hashed form of your IP address, and the user-agent string your browser sends. The hash and the user agent help us limit spam and abuse without keeping the address itself. If you are signed in, the comment is also linked to your account.

Your name and comment are published once a moderator approves them. Your email address is never published or shared — it exists so we can contact you about your comment. Comments are not visible to anyone until approved.

Ask us to delete your comment at any time using the contact details below, and we will remove it and the associated data.

7. Newsletter

If you subscribe, we store your email address, subscription status, the date you signed up and a hashed form of your IP address (to limit abuse). We use confirmed opt-in: you receive an email asking you to confirm, and we send nothing further unless you do.

Every email we send contains a one-click unsubscribe link that works without signing in. You can also ask us to remove you using the contact details below. We do not sell or share subscriber lists.

8. Your choices

You may ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, including your account, by contacting us using the details below. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, and opt out of analytics as described in section 4.
